"Violet"

Violet comes from the breeding program of the 10 time USEF Leading Hunter Breeder W Charlot Farm. She is everything you'd expect from her stellar pedigree- a beautiful mover that always got a top piece of the hack,  a quiet mare that was shown exclusively by Amateurs in both the Children's and Adult Hunters and a good jumper. She had a respectable show record in the 2'6 and 3' hunter classes until a soft tissue injury sidelined her career.

Violet's pedigree contains superb jumping blood including well known sires Voltaire, Grannus, Argentinus  and Rio Grande.

Voltaire is the result of crossing two outstanding bloodlines: Furioso II and Gotthard.  As an 8 year old Voltaire jumped 1.50 m. courses with a great deal of success. He was the sire with the most offspring at the Olympic Games of Atlanta in 1996. Moreover the world famous Voltaire is second on the World Breeding Ranking of Showjumping Sires. Many of his offspring jump at Grand Prix level, i.e. Finesse, Altaire, Kahlua, Play it Again, Helios, Electro, Kannan, Especial etc. etc. Voltaire has been awarded Hunter sire of the Year 2001, 2002 and 2003 in the USA. Voltaire is one of the top sires in the KWPN Jumping Index with 151 points.

Grannus competed successfully under Guido Klatte at the highest level of Grand Prix jumping. He sired numerous international jumpers including the Oldenburg, Grand Slam (Nick Skelton), Top Gun (Jan Tops), and the 2004 Stallion of the Year, Graf Grannus.

Argentinus is the sire of the most expensive warmblood foal ever sold at an auction in Germany. A full brother of this price record breaker, Arko III, was the most successful show jumper in the world twice under Nick Skelton. But Argentinus' many other internationally successful off-spring document why he remains such a popular sire. His offspring are honest, willing to perform and born with a genius talent for jumping. The list of Argentinus' achievements during the course of his long career is long but the statistics on his internationally successful off-spring show the true dimensions of his greatness. In addition to their enormous talent for jumping, Argentinus' children are always good movers with exceptional character. they are the perfect partners for all 3 rings.

Rio Grande, is a noted hunter producer. He has many offspring winning on the A circuit and he himself was a successful Grand Prix jumper (ridden by Eric Lamaze). He was also winner of his stallion performance test and is consistently one of USEF's top 10 leading hunter sires. We love our Rio mares and look forward to adding more of his blood to our program!

Violet  is registered Canadian Warmblood and approved for breeding with the German Oldenburg Verband.

Violet is in foal to Con Capilot for a June 2022 foal
