Ariel's Foals

Romancing Rio

"Ariel"

Ariel is a quiet, kind mare that has fabulous hunter movement including a 10++ trot.

She consistently produces fancy hunter prospects with hack winning movement, a scopey jump and an amateur friendly temperament.

Due to a freak pasture accident, Ariel herself was never shown but she was in training and on track to be an A-circuit show hunter at the time of her injury.

Ariel's sire, Rio Grande, is a noted hunter producer. He has many offspring winning on the A circuit and he himself was a successful Grand Prix jumper (ridden by Eric Lamaze). He was also winner of his stallion performance test and is consistently one of USEF's top 10 leading hunter sires. On Ariel's damside you will find Duerkheim- another sire that can be found in many winning hunters.

Ariel is homozygous for both black and Agouti so she will always produce bay foals (unless bred to a grey or dilute stallion where other genes come into play).

Ariel is registered & branded Hanoverian

She is approved for breeding in the MMB with the American Hanoverian Society.

She is also approved for breeding with Oldenburg GOV, ISR/Old N.A., Westfalen/RPSI and CSHA.
