(registered name Diedinka)
Zooey is an imported KWPN mare that had a successful career in the hunter ring until a soft tissue injury sidelined her career. She competed in the hunter divisions up to 3'6" but most excelled as a derby horse.
Zooey's pedigree contains Proven jumping blood and she comes from a well respected damline in Europe. Grand-Sire Canturo was a big hit in the showjumping sport ridden by Bernado Alves and his triumphs include participating in the Olympic Games in Athens and the World Championships in Aachen. Canturo carries the valuable jumping genes from the Holsteiner breeding line 162. Grand-Damsire Coriano likewise performed successfully in the international showjumping ring and is a grandson of the influential Ramiro-daughter Golda out of the 318d2 breeding line. In the third generation Zooey's sire Canturano carries the performance blood of Ahorn Z. The renowned breeding stallions, Indorado, Lordanos, Numero Uno, Lux Z and Concerto also carry the blood of Ahorn Z on the dam’s side. Canturano himself is a product out of Holsteiner line 2067. This widely branched Holsteiner family has also produced the international showjumpers Leonardo, Lordon, Leonides, Con Spirito, Landstreicher, Cattani and Sympatico. Canturano completed his 70 day test in Adelheidsdorf 2006 and earned himself a first place with 135.20 points for his jumping. For the jumping course and his jumping quality he was rewarded with a 10!!! Canturano is approved by the KWPN and was described as a stallion that is very careful and shows a tremendous amount of scope. He was assessed with a score of 9 for his scope and 8.5 for his natural ability as a showjumper. During the stallion competitions 2007-2008 Canturano was rewarded with high scores for the jumping elements time after time and was described as a stallion with very fast reflexes, tremendous scope and body technique over the fences.
We are very excited to add Zooey to our broodmare band.
